Scholarships are a form of aid that help students pay for college. Unlike student loans, scholarships do not have to be paid back and they may be combined with other kinds of financial aid to cover up to the total cost of attendance.

UNT awards thousands of scholarships each year and not just to students who have earned high grades or have high test scores.

In addition to academic merit, scholarships are awarded to students based on other qualifications such as athletic ability or artistic talent.  There are also scholarships for students who are interested in particular fields of study, who have extracurricular achievements, who are members of certain groups, or who demonstrate financial need.

Take some time and learn more about the types of scholarships available at UNT and search for scholarships that match your interests and qualifications.
