Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year beginning October 1.
Be admitted to UNT.
Be enrolled in and maintain at least half-time enrollment at UNT.
Read the academic program information to determine your eligibility.
Ask your academic department about fellowships, assistantships, and department-sponsored scholarships.
Apply for scholarships.

Admitted UNT students are assigned a UNT email - EagleConnect - account. Use it to conduct all UNT related business and keep your personal email(s) for UNT communications.

Financial resources are available in the form of:

Federal, state and institutional funding for eligible citizens through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), grants, work study, and loans.
Scholarships and awards from university, departments and external agencies. Learn how to apply and access scholarships..
Graduate students should also ensure you are familiar with the Toulouse Graduate School School resource provided regarding funding available.
Also, keep in mind that all UNT students have the option to utilize Student Financial Services installment plan.

As an admitted UNT student, your myUNT student account will reflect applicable tuition/fee expenses once you have enrolled each term. Please keep in mind though, financial aid eligibility is separate and is based on estimated educational expenses each award period (fall/spring and summer).

UNT encourages graduate applicants to get admitted as soon as possible, and apply for financial aid as early as possible so you can access the most beneficial resources. The FAFSA application is open each year on October 1 for the award year that begins the following fall.
