Dallas County Promise Program

Dallas County Promise includes 82 participating high schools throughout Dallas County to include Dallas ISD, DeSoto ISD, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, Duncanville ISD, Garland ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, Irving ISD, Lancaster ISD, Mesquite ISD and Richardson ISD.

To be considered for the UNT Dallas County Promise Program, students graduating from participating high schools must complete the Dallas Promise Path Form through the Dallas County Promise Program, adhere to all criteria and deadlines, have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 6514 or below, and meet the eligibility criteria as outlined for North Texas Promise.

Red River Promise Program

Red River Promise includes 14 participating high schools in Cook County, Montague County and Young County.

To be considered for the UNT Red River Promise Program, students graduating from participating high schools must complete the Red River Promise Pledge through the Red River Promise Program, adhere to all criteria and deadlines, have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 6514 or below, and meet the eligibility criteria as outlined for North Texas Promise.

Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership

The T3 Partnership includes 24 participating high schools within Fort Worth ISD, Crowley ISD, Castleberry ISD and Arlington ISD (Lamar only).

To be considered for the UNT T3 Partnership Program, students graduating from participating high schools must complete the T3 Partnership Pledge through the T3 Partnership Program, adhere to all criteria and deadlines, have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 6514 or below, and meet the eligibility criteria as outlined for North Texas Promise.

Texoma Promise Program

Texoma Promise includes 23 participating high schools.

To be considered for the UNT Texoma Promise Program, students graduating from participating high schools must complete the Texoma Promise Pledge through the Texoma Promise Program, adhere to all criteria and deadlines, have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 6514 or below, and meet the eligibility criteria as outlined for North Texas Promise.

Renewal Criteria

These programs are renewable for up to four years for students who entered as first-time freshmen and two years for those who entered with their associates degree.

To maintain eligibility in subsequent years, students must:

  • Register full-time (12 hours or more) at UNT in fall and spring semesters.
  • Successfully complete at least 24 semester credit hours at the end of each academic year.
  • Maintain a minimum UNT cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.50 at the end of each academic year.
  • Maintain eligibility for federal, state and/or institutional financial aid programs and have a Student Aid Index (SAI) of 6,514 or less for applicable aid year. 
  • Submit FAFSA (or TAFSA) application by the January 15 preceding the upcoming fall semester.
