UNT at Frisco New Undergraduate Transfer Incentive Program

This program is intended to assist new undergraduate transfer students who take a minimum of 6 semester credit hours per term at UNT at Frisco (Hall Park, Inspire Park) or the Collin Higher Education Center (CHEC) during the Fall 2020 term.

The amount of this non-competitive award will be determined based on the number of semester credit hours (SCH) taken at UNT at Frisco and/or the CHEC (see the table).

This award may be renewed in Spring 2021 by students who meet continuing eligibility requirements. The renewal awards will be based on the number of semester credit hours (SCH) taken at UNT at Frisco and/or the CHEC.

Program Consideration

New undergraduate students transferring to UNT in Fall 2020 are automatically considered for this incentive program based on their completed UNT application. Students who meet the eligibility requirements will be notified via email of their qualification and will receive additional instructions on how to accept their award. Please note the awards associated with this incentive program are subject to available funding with priority consideration given to the earliest applicants.

Initial Eligibility

To be eligible for the incentive award, students must:

  • Be a first-time undergraduate student transferring to UNT for Fall 2020
  • Be admitted by July 1, 2020
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 SCH at UNT at Frisco and/or the CHEC
  • Have a 2.25 minimum overall cumulative GPA (includes all transfer work)

Term Renewal

This incentive award may be renewed for Spring 2021 if the student is meeting the following eligibility requirements:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative UNT GPA of 2.25; and,
  • Enroll in a minimum of 6 SCH at UNT at Frisco and/or the CHEC

Non-Texas Residents and International Students

  • Non-Texas residents are eligible to receive this incentive award. Please note that receipt of this incentive award will not waive out-of-state tuition for non-Texas residents.
  • International students are required to be enrolled full time, unless completing degree requirements in the final term of their program. Please visit the UNT Division of International Affairs if you have questions regarding enrollment expectations.
