Description

UNT Phi Theta Kappa Texas Transfer Scholarships are available to Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society members transferring from a Texas community college or an accredited Texas university with 45 or more attempted credit hours (excludes credit hours earned from AP, CLEP, military, etc.), beginning Fall 2009.

Students must be active in a UNT program to receive this award.  Students active in a UNT Dallas program should contact UNT Dallas for scholarship opportunites.

The scholarship is renewable one additional, consecutive academic yearThe period during which school is in session, consisting of at least 30 weeks of instructional time. The school year typically runs from the beginning of September through the end of May at most colleges and universities. Amount

  • 4.0 cumulative GPA - $3,000  (ScholarshipA scholarship is a form of financial aid given to students to help pay for their education.   • 3.99-3.75 cumulative GPA - $2,000  (Scholarship funding can result in a $4,000 total award.)
  • 3.74-3.5 cumulative GPA - $1,500  (Scholarship funding can result in a $3,000 total award.)
  • Eligibility

    Awards are renewable for a second year for students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours per fall and spring term at UNT  and maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA, while completing his or her UNT undergraduate degree.
