International students that are entering freshman need to be ranked in the top 25% of their high school class and have at least an 1100 SAT or 24 ACT (written test score excluded). If your high school does not provide a rank, please contact the International Admissions and Recruitment Office to see what documentation you will need to provide so that they may determine a rank for you. International students receiving any SFAS Academic Scholarship with an amount of at least $1,000 for the academic yearThe period during which school is in session, consisting of at least 30 weeks of instructional time. The school year typically runs from the beginning of September through the end of May at most colleges and universities. would have their out of state tuition waived.

We have expanded our renewable scholarship program to recognize more students who are in the top 50 percent of their high school graduating class with test scores of at least 1100 on the SAT or 24 on the ACT (written portions excluded). Students’ high school rank and test scores are used to determine UNT Excellence Scholarship award amounts.
Applicants who meet the priority admission application deadline will be given first consideration for scholarships, based on their completed admission application and completed General Scholarship Application.

Students must be transferring at least 45 credit hours from a Texas community/junior college or Texas University and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA . International students receiving this scholarship with an amount of at least $1,000 for the academic year would have their out of state tuition waived. Students are encouraged to follow all direction provided to them via email regarding scholarship action required for award consideration.
